Your first hour in OneBlock decides how fast the rest goes. You start on 1 block over the void with nothing in your hands. Here is what to do, in order, so you are never stuck waiting.
What are you supposed to do in OneBlock?
Mine the block, keep what it drops, and build outward. The block refills every time you break it and slowly unlocks better blocks. The goal is to turn that 1 block into a full island with farms, storage and machines that earn for you.
Minutes 0 to 10: wood and space
- Break the block and do not place the first blocks you get too far out. Build a small platform around it so drops do not fall into the void.
- Keep every log. Wood becomes a crafting table, sticks and your first tools.
- Place a few dirt blocks to plant saplings. A tree or 2 means you never run out of wood.
Minutes 10 to 30: stone tools and light
- Once stone starts dropping, make stone tools. A pickaxe speeds up everything.
- Look for coal early. Torches stop mobs spawning on your island, and a furnace lets you cook food and smelt ore.
- Open every chest the block gives you. They often hold seeds, food or tools you cannot get yet.
Minutes 30 to 60: food, a farm and money
- Plant seeds next to water. A small wheat farm solves food for good.
- Add a chest or 2 so drops stop piling up in your inventory.
- On a server, sell what you do not need. Coins buy upgrades that make the block better.
Mistakes that slow you down
- Building too close to the edge with no walls. One wrong step and your items are gone.
- Ignoring light. Mobs spawn on dark islands and knock you off.
- Selling everything. Keep logs, coal and seeds until you have a steady supply.
How to start OneBlock on EcoSky
On EcoSky the story walks you through all of this. The NPCs hand you small tasks that teach each system as you play, and the rewards are real items and coins. You also choose what your block drops through Core Tracks, so if you need stone you can switch to a stone heavy track instead of waiting.
